RIVERS

Ribnik

Here swims a lot of grayling and also trout of 5 kg and larger. This river is easily accessible for fly fishing. Because it is shallow and very easy to wade in as the bottom mostly consists of sand. Ribnik is especially rich in wild grayling, which makes up 70% of the fish population.

Once you have experienced a massive hatching of enormous stoneflies or Baetis in Ribnik, you will not want to go home!
Ginclear rivers

Pliva

Pliva is undoubtedly one of the most beautiful rivers in Europe. From its source we have over 5 km of fantastic and super clear river to fish in. Pliva is fantastic for fly fishing and is inhabited by grayling and trout. Catching a grayling can make even the most experienced fisherman scratch their head. Because Pliva's clear water and its high nutrient content make the fish shy and extremely strong. For this reason, fly fishermen from all over the world covet Pliva's grayling as significant trophies. The valleys are like something out of a book, the environment in this area is absolutely incredible!
More rivers

Sana, Unac & Una

We also have the opportunity to fish a couple of rivers nearby. The Sana River is very exciting. Ribnik flows into this river. Sana is more like our rivers back home with faster water and a stonier bottom. We have access to a couple of kilometers of private water. Several of our guides love this water as it holds very nice fish and when it hatches in Sana, it hatches!
Unac is a couple of hours drive from our lodge but is well worth a visit. A river that runs through a national park with a farm at the top where small fish can be found. And what eats small fish is big fish. Rainbows and trout over 10 kilos are caught annually! Every cast is exciting in this river!
